This site is offering Webster’s Encyclopedia on CD-ROM completely free!
Free, you say? Yup… oh, well, except for that pesky shipping. You know, with gas prices the way they are, it’s gotta be… what, $7.50 to ship a CD-ROM?
No, of course not. Free is too good to be true. But $7.50 after shipping is at least realistic. And if you have a kid in school, it’s probably well worth it.
So here’s the link, though we hate jacked-up shipping charges (that’s SOOOOOO 2003.)
